TEKNIK KOMPUTER DAN JARINGAN - Raksasa prosesor AMD, hari ini, Kamis (12/9/2013), memperkenalkan tiga lini AMD Mobile APU 2013 untuk PC mobile. Tiga lini APU terbaru ini antara lain, AMD APU Elite Mobility 2013, AMD APU Mainstream 2013 dan AMD APU Elite Performance.

AMD mengungkapkan, ketiga APU ini merupakan generasi yang paling canggih dari AMD. Ketiganya menawarkan peningkatan performa dan efisiensi daya, serta kualitas visual sebaik produk gaming maupun grafis desktop AMD.

AMD APU Elite Mobility 2013 (kode nama Temash) akan memperkuat kelas produk notebook layar sentuh mini dan tablet hibrid dengan layar 13 inci atau lebih kecil. Sedangkan AMD APU Mainstream 2013 (Kabini) memperkuat notebook kelas entry-level dan layar sentuh mini.

Sementara AMD APU Elite Performance (Richland), merupakan versi hemat daya untuk kelas notebook ultrathin dan harga yang diklaim terjangkau.

"Semakin hari tuntutan pengguna akan kinerja perangkat PC mobile semakin tinggi," kata Jenny Susanto, Country Manager AMD Indonesia. Menurutnya, ini didorong karena perkembangan kompleksitas software, kebutuhan hiburan, serta mobilitas.

Untuk itu, AMD bekerjasama dengan produsen komputer ternama dunia seperti Acer, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Samsung dan Toshiba untuk menghadirkan perangkat mobile yang diperkuat dengan teknologi APU Temash, Kabini serta Richland.

AMD mengungkapkan, sejak pertama kali diperkenalkan pada 2011, prosesor AMD APU telah diadopsi secara luas oleh beragam perangkat dan form factor. Penggunaan teknologi dari AMD ini mendukung untuk perangkat konsol game, notebook, tablet, PC desktop, server dan embedded device.

AMD APU Elite Mobility 2013 diklaim paling irit daya untuk tablet dan notebook. Prestasi gemilang AMD ditunjukkan melalui penghargaan Best Choice of Computer Taipei 2013 untuk ketiga kalinya.
